Cabana Buta – Where the Mountains Whisper
Nestled in a quiet alpine meadow at 1580 meters altitude, Cabana Buta stands as a gateway to the southern Retezat Mountains – a place where the forest breathes, the trails beckon, and time slows down.
Surrounded by towering spruces and embraced by the silence of the peaks, the cabin offers not just shelter, but a starting point for adventure. From here, mountain paths lead to iconic destinations: Piule Peak, Pleșa Peak, Buta Lake, and the dramatic Retezat ridge.
The cabin provides cozy, rustic accommodation in shared rooms (3–4 beds per room), with a total capacity of around 54 guests. A warm meal and a friendly chat await you at the small mountain canteen and bar. Sleeping bags are recommended for added comfort.
